The tyrannosaurus is the final boss of Dino Crisis, and also a recurring boss in the games it is featured in. T-Rex is often one of the first dinosaurs shown in the games it is in.
Often it cannot be killed, except under special circumstances or cut scenes. Especially in the first game, the T-Rex can kill in one hit.
[edit] Ibis Island
The Tyrannosaurus serves as the primary antagonist in the game. It is fought several times in the game until it is killed in the final cut scene.
The Tyrannosaurus is responsible for eating Cooper (one of the team's members) early on, and wreaking much havoc throughout the game. The T-Rex is the main Dinosaur in Dino Crisis.
It is encountered several times during the game. First time it breaks his head through the window when Regina is inspecting the Chief's Room. It can kill with one bite and the player must shoot it when it opens its mouth.
Later on the T-Rex attacks Regina after she activates the antenna. The player must run to the end of the walkway and wait until Rick opens the door that was locked because of the lock-down that the T-Rex triggered. The player again must shoot it in it's mouth.
Shortly after that the T-Rex makes its appearance in the Heliport after breaking through a wall. It then proceeds to destroy the rescue chopper and again tries to devour Regina. The player must run around the wreck of the chopper dodging the T-Rex's attacks until Rick repairs the elevator.
Later on the T-Rex is seen chasing a small group of scientist's and it traps and kills them while the Elevator rides down to the B3 area. Regina must go there and retrieve a card from one of the scientists. The T-Rex kills all of the survivors and tries to eat Regina. As the T-Rex leaves the elevator It crashes with one of the generator's and is electrocuted, knocking it out cold.
The last time the T-Rex is seen during the ending. It's fate depends on the ending chosen:
1. It breaks into the underground port where it proceeds to chase Regina around the containers and the player must shoot it when the FIRE! sign is shown below the screen. After that it is killed by a Third Energy explosion.
2. It chases the S.O.R.T team when they run by a hydroplane. Player must shot the swimming T-Rex when the FIRE! sign is shown below the screen. After that T-Rex gets killed by Regina which throws on it a C4 explosive which the T-Rex devours.
3. It chases Regina when she is going to the Underground Heliport. As Regina is riding the platform she must shoot the T-Rex when the FIRE! sign is shown below the screen. After that the T-Rex gets killed by a bomb thrown from a helicopter that the team uses to get off the island.
[edit] Noah's Ark Project
The T-rex, like in the previous game, is the primary antagonist for the majority of the game. It is not quite as fearsome as the Rex of the first game and the battles are (for the most part) easier. At the game opening, David blows out the T-Rex's left eye with his RPG and as a result it appears to hunt Dylan and Regina with a vengeance for most of the game thereafter.
We encounter T-Rex five times during the game but we only two times have to fight with it.
First time the T-Rex shows is shortly after start of the game. It is seen in the military facility. It breaks into it and tries to kill Dylan. Player must run away to the complex. After that T-Rex is leaving and when Regina visits the facility the T-Rex is gone.
Second time we see T-Rex is only in the background when Regina approaches the bridge. T-Rex slowly is moving down the bridge.
Third time is seen when Dylan must makes it's way to the Research facility in order to find a battery for the boat. T-Rex is seen moving in the background and scares out of Raptors.
Fourth time we must fight it in the Edward City. T-Rex is attacking Dylan and Dylan escapes to the Tank. We must run away from the dinosaur and occasionally attack it. T-Rex gives a break after we finish this room and walks away.
Finally T-Rex is seen in Missile Silo. Another funny thing how it manage to move to the jungle area so fast and how it could pass through the poison jungle and how it managed to the silo area. There isn't any hole seen in the background of the area. Anyway, T-Rex encounters Giganotosaurus in the Missile Silo and it's get killed by it.
