Phase 1: Completed
I engineered several varieties of cell samples from the most human-like creatures. I then attempted to use these as a catalyst to regenerate human life. I failed. Human genes are frail. They were not meant to withstand cosmic rays.
Revised Phase 1: Completed
I discovered the genes of ancient organisms that are capable of surviving the cosmic rays. I have integrated these genes with a hybrid of human genes. These ancient life forms (referred to in my records as "dinosaurs") seem to have potential. I am preparing additional cultures for further testing.
Phase 2: Completed
My dinosaur clones, with their modified genes, are growing satisfactorily, though there seems to be some degree of vulnerability to cosmic rays. Having no human crew occupying the ship, I have chosen to release the enhanced clones in the Main Bridge area for further observation.
Phase 3: Completed
My research has borne fruit. I have succeeded in creating a human-based species that is capable of surviving the cosmic rays that destroyed the crew of the Ozymandias. To make room for my continuing research I have released the remainder of my modified dinosaur specimens throughout the ship.
The Ozymandias is currently orbiting the planet, α2. I have begun to analyze its atmospheric and climatic environments. I have also sent the human hybrids to the surface to test their survivability.
α2 is a much harsher environment than my data had indicated. My human hybrids have failed to survive.
Phase 4: In Progress
Abandoning α2, I have selected a new destination for my "children". My memory banks indicate that there is a planet fully capable of sustaining human life forms. It is a planet called "Earth".
In order to support the colonization efforts of my children when we arrive there, I have commenced mass-production of the H-IIIA androids. The androids will service to nurture my children and raise them to adulthood.
