Pteranodon

Pteranodon is a flying creature that appears in the first two games of the series. They are probably exaggerated in furosity as they were fish eating in reality. Pteranodon is not an important creature of the series but can cause some challenges to the player, especially when in groups.

Dino CrisisEdit

Pteranodon's are encountered in three areas of the Ibis Island facility, all of which are located outside. When playing the game it is generally better to simply run past them. Don't bother to shoot them with shotguns and don't waste ammo with grenade launchers. If necessary, just shoot at them with pistols, even if they don't go down, it may stop them from attacking for a while. They will swoop down at Regina and pick her up with their talons.

Pteranodons in Dino Crisis are first seen in the Large Size Elevator area not far from the game's starting point, The Backyard. The second time you see them is shortly after the first time, two pteranodons are seen in Power Room Passage where one of them try's to kill Regina by throwing her into a ventilation fan. the last location that Pteranodons are seen in is the Front Area Entrance while traveling to the heliport.

Dino Crisis 2Edit

Similar to those in the first game but are in much larger (sometimes unlimited) groups. With the games larger

stock of weapons and unlimited ammo card, use anything fast firing. The two handed sub-machine gun is useful as it can shoot at two at the one time. Missile pods also lock-on to their targets so, fire a few of these and you'll take them down.

Expect them all over the coastal third energy plant and anywhere that a large carnivore has died.

First time we can see them in front of the researach facility if we kill Allosaurus as Regina. Second time is when Regina enters the Military Facility to save Dylan. Third time is when Dylan, Regina and are riding by the boat to the 3RD energy facility where we also ecounter Pteranodons in pair to Plesiosaurus. Finally Pterandons are seen in the Edward City in the Crash site of David's helicopter.

Dino StalkerEdit

Pterandon is also encountered in Dino Stalker. They make their appearance in so called level's on wheels where player must evade their attacks and shot them. First time where we see Pteranodon is on the third level on the game during your trip on the boat and second time in the City where they can be seen on the Power Plant and on the bridge before Carnotaurus shows up.
